CLE Poem

So our performance task in CLE was to make a poem about the Bible, from Adam and Eve to Jesus. Then we have to memorize it and present our poems in front of the class. So, yeah, this is my poem. Yaaayy.

Define true love? Is it that kind when you hold hands
          and watch the stars above?
Or is it that feeling mothers get when they see their babies
          for the first time?
True love, sometimes we forget that it originated
         from our Father up above.
The One who breathed life into us so that we might live.
The One who gave Adam and Eve a chance to absolve
         themselves from their sins.
He is the One who gave us the commandments
on how to live our days on Earth the best.
He loved His people so much that when they strayed
He still gave them a chance, He gave their worries a rest.
His eyes are always on us, never missing a single glance.
He parted the Red Sea to save His people from death.
He always thinks of us first with His every breath.
His love is so true and so selfless that He sent His only Son,
to deliver us from evil and sin, He is the Chosen One.
His love is so true that He sacrificed His life for us,
He did all and everything without causing a fuss.
So when we’re asked to define true love?
We must remember what our Father has done for us
While he watches us from above.
For love to be true, it must be selfless and true.
Never thinking of personal gain but of the happiness of the other,

         that’s for sure.

Se(ugh)nior Life

I always thought that senior year would be the most amazing and most chill year of my high school life. But i guess i am wrong for jumping into that conclusion. My life was never chill when my first day of being a senior came. There's just so much schoolwork to do, i don't even have free weekends anymore, and so many responsibilities since i am a CAT officer and at the same time, a class officer. I don't know how i will be able to survive this year but i'm trying, giving and doing my best with all the things that i am doing and have to do. I remember when i was a sophomore, school was very chill for me. I didn't put much effort on my studies yet i still had a good grade. But now, i really have to pay attention in class, study well, do the things i am expected to do and be serious because if i won't, well we both know what's gonna happen to me. Yes, you got that right, i'm going to fail and my parents wouldn't like it if that would happen. I don't know if it's because of the new grading system why i am so pressured with school or if it's because of the fact that i'm going to college in a few months. Hmmm i think both. Alright, i'll keep this short. I still have to make my notes for our Mastery Test this coming Wednesday to Friday. Byeeee

Somebody's Birthday

So it was my best friend's birthday and we surprised her with balloons and cakes and she fed us pasta and pizza from Afrique's. It's funny how we all can grow up so fast. Can't believe she turned 16 last May. And me last June. I've been friends with her since kinder and until now. We even made plans about going to the same school when college comes. I really wouldn't know what to do without her.

Dumanggas

Because ever since my dad and dad's dad finally got "reunited" we spend our weekends at Dumanggas where my lolo stays. Not bad though. The trees, the fresh air and being away from the city for a little while. It's a great break from reality and from school. Just what i really need. Since i get so pressured, drained and stressed all because of school.

Holy Week

It's a tradition for the Yaps to spend Holy Week at Oton since my family owns this "statue" of Jesus after He was crucified. We'd attend the procession, the blessing of the different "statues" and together with my cousins, we'd be the one to assist those who wants to see and kiss Jesus.
