xSMEn

I just really love my section so much. It's amazing how we all click together and how united we are. Even though there are some negative feedback about us being so noisy at times, but it's okay. We work things out together and we find ways to make solutions to our problems because we are the xSMEn.

A few of the xSMEn people

First Year Buds

So here is a photo of me with my first year buddies. I remember doing all the craziest and most random things we can think of together and i just really miss them so much. Now that we have different groups of friends, we barely hang together. Mainly the reason why we have to catch up soon.

Baby Kd

I swear, i love kids so much. They are the cutest, most adorable and most innocent little thing you can ever have. Too bad i don't have a little sister or a little brother :( here's a photo of me with Baby Kd. Isn't he the fluffiest thing ever?

Sisters From Another Mother

My support system, my best friends, my partners in crime, my everything in between, the greatest people you will ever meet and my sisters from another mother. They are surely for keeps.

Vespers

Last August, we had our Vespers which is an evening prayer. I can still remember the times when me and my batchmates were having our singing practice. All the fun stuff that we did together. I sure can't wait for our graduation day.

CEAP Youth Congress

About 2 months ago, me and some of my batchmates went to San Agustin because of the CEAP Youth Congress. What we did there? Well, we had activities like "bahay, tao, bagyo" which made us interact with the different schools from Region VI, there were talks about the laws for women and we also watched a movie about the life of a Filipino saint. We didn't have time to sleep though because of the activities that we had but it was really fun. We danced from i guess 2 or 3 in the morning until 6 a.m just to keep ourselves awake.

Come back, Christian

My cousin, Christian went home a few months ago from America and so we had dinner with the Britanico Family. What i love about family dinners is that i get to see all my cousins again and we catch up and just talk about anything and everything and we'd also play games. Sadly, Christian went back to America because he still has school. Hopefully they'd come back here during summer.

This isn't even the whole Britanico cousins yet

Gawad Kalinga

A few months ago, the high school students of Assumption Iloilo went to Gawad Kalinga, somewhere near Jaro, as our community service. Each year level was given a task and we, the seniors were tasked to be with the little kids, read them stories and play with them. So me and my two other friends were with this kid named Mark John Bulahan. Of course, i love kids and so i was really trying to talk to him and we even bought him food. Then a friend of mine said that he can't hear properly because he has a hearing problem and i don't know why but i cried because a kid like him who is so sweet doesn't deserve to have a hearing problem at such a young age. My teacher told me that one day, i should help him if i really want to and that's what i am trying to do. Mark John Bulahan, you will always be remembered and one day, we will meet again and i will help you.

Kapatiran '14

I remember when we had Kapatiran last time and i was one of the leaders of the Ravenclaw house. What i love about Kapatiran is that it unites us with all the high school students. We get to make new friends and play games together and all the fun things you can think of. Even though it was just for 3 days, the experience is worth remembering, and the new friends i met are worth keeping.

90% sweat and 10% water

Back to our CAT days when me and my fellow CAT officers are training. What we went through wasn't a joke at all. We had HIIT or High Intensity Interval Training and also initiation. But despite all the tears that we have shed, the scratches and bruises we got, the almost dying faces, not being able to breath well, seriously all the pain was worth it. We had to "sacrifice" our last week of summer just to have our training and the experience was amazing. It brought us closer and united. Now that we are officers, we our really trying our best to teach and pass on to our cadets what our trainers taught us.

Cope Up With Stress

Stress? I am always stressed. How i cope up with it? I don't even know how. It's like here i am ranting about all the work that i have to do yet i'm still working on it. You get it? I don't wanna do it but i'm doing it because i have to. I always force myself to do things anyway. There are times that i just lay down on my bed, think about the work that i have to do then i'd cry because i just wanna rest for awhile but i know i don't have time to do so because schoolwork always come first. You feel me? Now that i'm saying all these, i bet you think i'm crazy. Well, guess what, school makes me crazy and i don't know how to make myself sane again (lol).

What Weekend

I remember i used to have chill weekends before. But now that i'm in Senior Year i barely even have chill days and it's really exhausting :( Our 2nd Mastery Tests for the Second Quarter just finished yesterday and on the 2nd until the 4th of October is our 2nd Quarter Examinations. See what i mean? I don't have time to chill *cries a river* Also, i have to memorize my oration piece in CAF because we have to present in class for our performance task. I don't know, there's too much schoolwork to do. I have no idea how i can handle all these. I am stressed and exhausted and i just can't anymore.

"Survival Of The Fittest"

I admit that i find school really exhausting sometimes. It's also like a "survival of the fittest" kind of thing. Since only those who have high grades get to pass and everybody seems like they are competing with each other because they want to be on top and stuff like that.

I don't know, i thought school was about learning, making new friends, experiences but not about competition, jealousy and greed for "power". I have no idea how or when people started treating going to school like this because it's not supposed to be like this.

We're not supposed to see each other as an opponent because we all are equal since we all want to learn and should not want to be ahead or on top of others. People should really start treating going to school in a different way. More like in a beautiful way. Minus all the drama, all the jealousy and the rivalry.

What should i do?

In my previous post, there were a lot of "I could have"s and "I should have"s. Now it is time for me to change those into "I did"s. So, what am i supposed to do? Simple. I need to be ORGANIZED. Yes, organized, that is the word! Being organized means knowing the things that i should and should not do, when i should do this, when i should not do that. It's more of like making a game plan and focusing on my target or main goal. My main goal right now as a senior is to graduate high school, think of my course for college and pass the school i want to enroll in and just finalize things so for me not to get frazzled or confused. Then that is the time for me to make another list since you cannot really focus on doing two things at the same time, right?

I promised myself that this Second Quarter, i will surely do my best in all of the things that i am expected to do. I will not hesitate to do something which i know is right and will help me and not only me, but also the people around me. Life, it must not have any room for regrets. Yes, we do commit mistakes and failures but we must see them as an obstacle, a challenge we must overcome and achieve. I would rather hear myself say "It's okay, at least i tried my best.", rather than say "I could have and i should have, if only...".

The "Card"

Last Friday, August 29, we got our Report Card and saw our grades for the First Quarter. I admit that the night before, i wasn't able to sleep well since i was very worried about my grades, and in the morning while me and my mom were on our way to school, i seriously cannot breath because i was so scared and as i have said, very worried. I was scared of disappointing my parents, my teachers and most of all, myself. To be honest, i'm not very confident about me having an A in a lot of my subjects since i knew that my efforts were not enough. Yes, i studied in advance, i made notes, i recite in class discussions, pass our assignments and projects and you know, the stuff we should do to achieve a high grade. So anyway, yeah, the efforts i did were not enough for me, i could have done so much more.I could have done better more like the best. But when i saw my card, i was shocked and very happy to have 6 A's. I somehow proved myself wrong. Maybe my efforts were really enough. You cannot say that i am not contented or proud about my grades because i am its just that i need to work hard even more. In order for me to achieve something that is worthy and something that i should really really really be proud of. Am i right or am i right?
