CLE Poem

So our performance task in CLE was to make a poem about the Bible, from Adam and Eve to Jesus. Then we have to memorize it and present our poems in front of the class. So, yeah, this is my poem. Yaaayy.

Define true love? Is it that kind when you hold hands
          and watch the stars above?
Or is it that feeling mothers get when they see their babies
          for the first time?
True love, sometimes we forget that it originated
         from our Father up above.
The One who breathed life into us so that we might live.
The One who gave Adam and Eve a chance to absolve
         themselves from their sins.
He is the One who gave us the commandments
on how to live our days on Earth the best.
He loved His people so much that when they strayed
He still gave them a chance, He gave their worries a rest.
His eyes are always on us, never missing a single glance.
He parted the Red Sea to save His people from death.
He always thinks of us first with His every breath.
His love is so true and so selfless that He sent His only Son,
to deliver us from evil and sin, He is the Chosen One.
His love is so true that He sacrificed His life for us,
He did all and everything without causing a fuss.
So when we’re asked to define true love?
We must remember what our Father has done for us
While he watches us from above.
For love to be true, it must be selfless and true.
Never thinking of personal gain but of the happiness of the other,

         that’s for sure.
